The less-than two-week old fawn shown below had suffered a head injury when a cyclist found her near the bicycle trail in Cottonwood Park south of Saylorville Reservoir. Through the efforts of Donna, a park custodian, the fawn was taken to a private shelter. 'Bambi', the name we thought affectionately fit her, is currently recovering nicely.
