The Cassville Ferry is one of those quiet Iowa attractions that is easily missed when driving south out of Guttenberg. Turning east off of Hwy 52 at Millvill, you travel a dirt road through corn fields to get to the ferry landing. It's a short ride across the Mississippi to Cassville Wisconsin, but the pure delight of the trip is the mid-river pirouette that the tugboat performs to reorient itself from its cargo for the downriver trip
(or upriver from Cassville).
